Sarsenov Biakhmet (1885-1921) was a prominent public and political figure of the twentieth century, a member of the Alash government.

He was born in 1885 in Zaisan district, Naryn parish, Semipalatinsk region (now Aksuat village of Tarbagatai district of East Kazakhstan region). In 1909 He graduated from the Semipalatinsk Teachers' Seminary (now the M. Auezov Pedagogical College of Semey). After graduating from the seminary, he worked as a teacher in an aul school. Then, working as a manager in the parish, he opened primary schools. During the February and October revolutions, he was influenced by nationalist sentiments for some time. Participated in the work of the Revolutionary Committee for the Management of the Kazakh region.

In the autumn of 1917, at the invitation of Alash figures, Sarsenov came to Semipalatinsk (now Semey) and worked as a member of the regional committee.

In November 1917, the intelligentsia of S. Kudaiberdiyev, A. Ermekov, H. Gabbasov, B. Sarsenov, A. Moldabaev, A. Kozybagarov, R. Marsekov, N. Kulzhanova, K. Zhanataev, I. Kazangapov, M. Maldybaev, etc. took part in the Zemstvo Meeting of Semipalatinsk district.

In December 1918, Biakhmet Sarsenov participated in the second All-Kazakh Congress in Orenburg, where a special training commission was formed. The Commission was headed by Akhmet Baitursynov, and its members were M. Zhumabaev, E. Omarov, B. Sarsenov, T. Shonanov.

At this time, Semipalatinsk (now Semey) He was a member of the government of Alashord, and Biakhmet Sarsenov managed the Department of Public Education. He dealt with the opening and financing of schools, the education of Kazakh children and the provision of necessary books. Along with this, he taught in various subjects at teacher courses.

Biakhmet Sarsenov actively participated in the cultural life of the city, was constantly published in the newspapers "Kazakh" and "Saryarka".

In 1920, Biakhmet began working in the capital of the Kazakh Autonomous Republic. Then Sarsenov worked in various positions in the field of education. At that time, he taught at teacher courses in Orenburg and in the CINEMA (Kazakh Institute of Public Education). According to the archive, B. Sarsenov was invited to write textbooks on physics and mathematics. However, this was not to be. In 1921 On August 22, Biakhmet Sarsenov died of an illness at the age of 36 in Orenburg.

After his death, M. Turganbayev and Zh. Aimauytov wrote an article "Biyash" in memory of a fellow party member, which was published in the newspaper "Kazakh Tili" (now the newspaper "Semey tany").

In 1937-1938, the father of B. Sarsenov - Shegedek came under repression. And also, the government put pressure on his only son Galikhan.
