Andrey Yesaulov (born 1962) is a writer, screenwriter.

Born on December 17, 1962 in Ust-Kamenogorsk, East Kazakhstan region, in a family of Brick factory workers. After graduating from the eighth year in 1978, he refused further education.

Subsequently, he was an unskilled worker at a brick factory, worked at a construction site in a brigade of shabashnikov, traveled along the Trans-Siberian railway, getting by at junction stations with casual earnings, etc.

After serving in the army, he was a rifleman of the VOHR (Paramilitary Guard) on the railway, a worker of geological exploration expeditions, a raftsman on a sawmill, a motorist on a motor ship (Yenisei Technical station), an observer forester (Altai State Reserve, Belinsky Forestry), a laboratory assistant in the department of pollination of agricultural crops by bees of the Kazakh experimental beekeeping station, a beekeeper, a fireman in the Ust-Kamenogorsk air squadron…

He studied at night schools in fits and starts. In 1986, he received a certificate of secondary education at the school of working youth No. 13, at the Protection station. In 1988, he passed the exams for the correspondence department of the script faculty of VGIK, was accepted into the workshop of Valentin Yezhov. In 1992, due to family circumstances, I had to give up my studies.

For several years he worked as a journalist in provincial newspapers.

Author of the short stories "Contract Tico", "Professional", "Poor Yorick", "Domino Principle", etc. Co-author of the script for the film "Sex, coffee and cigarettes" (2014).

Currently lives in the province of Pushkin Mountains in the Pskov region.
