Leonid P. Kuznetsov (born 1957) is a writer, journalist, publisher.
Born on May 8, 1957 in the Urals in Solikamsk, Perm region. From 1976 to 1998 he lived in Ust-Kamenogorsk, East Kazakhstan region. He worked as an editor of the newspaper "Altai Builder", in the mid-1980s – a correspondent of the regional newspaper "Rudny Altai", in the late eighties – early nineties - editor of the weekly magazines "Impulse" and "Province". Since 1998 he has been living in Moscow (Russia).
Author of a series of short stories in the collection "Tired of strontium" (Moscow, publishing house "Dixie Press", 2011). All the authors of the collection are former or current Ust–Kamenogorsk residents - Sergey Milyaev, Andrey Yesaulov, Evgeny Russian, Andrey Kratenko, Alexander Krakhin, Leonid Kuznetsov.
Since 2010, he has been working as the editor-in-chief of the publishing house "Dixie Press".
Among the books published by the publishing house, the winners of long and short lists of the most prestigious Russian and international awards are Anastasia Ermakova's novels "Plasticine" and Bogoslovsky's novel "The Trumpeter at the Gates of Dawn", Platon Besedin's collection of short prose "Ribs". Winner of the "Yasnaya Polyana – 2015" award in the nomination "Childhood. Adolescence. Youth" was the book by Valery Bylinsky "Reef" – the novella "July morning" and a cycle of short stories. Since 2011 – Chairman of the jury of the international competitions "New Writers" and "Metaphorical deformation".
