Aimautov Zhusipbek (1889-1931) – writer, playwright, translator, literary critic, essayist.

He was born in the neighborhood Kyzyltau of the Bayanaul district of Pavlodar oblast, he studied in Bayanaul and Pavlodar schools, and he graduated the Semipalatinsk Pedagogical Seminary. Throughout his work he combines social work with teaching and journalism. He was a head of the Commissariat of education, board member, editor of the newspaper «Kazakh language», worked as a teacher in Karkaralinsk, director of the newspaper «Ak Zhol» (Tashkent), director of the Shymkent Pedagogical College.
He is the author of novels «Kartkozha», «Akbilek», story «Wines Kunekey» and others.
He has translated into Kazakh language the works of famous representatives of world literature: Shakespeare, Victor Hugo, G. Maupassant, Alexandre Dumas, R. Tagore, J. London, as well as the «Inspector» by N.V. Gogol, «The Stone Guest» and «The Miserly Knight» by A.S. Pushkin, lyrics of the «International».
He was arrested on charges for connection to the Kazakh nationalist organization in 1930, and in 1931 was shot in the Butyrskaya prison in Moscow.
