Bekov Orynbek (1898-1937) – writer, poet, literary critic
He was born in Semey province. He graduated from a two-year school, he worked in a factory as a laborer. Since 1928 he was an editor of the Alma-Ata newspaper «Tilshi», and from 1930 to 1937 he was a director of the Kazakh Drama Theater.
He is an author of critical articles of the Kazakh art.
His stories and poems were published on the pages of national newspapers and in the magazine «New literature». Topics collectivization Kazakh village, the problem of the Soviet power is reflected in the collections of journalistic articles «A drop of blood for the great goal» (1926), «How we won the Civil War», «For the sake of a great cause», «What is the Sovietization of the village», «Hinds , join the Union» (1928).
