Gabdullin S.

He was born in the Chimkura village of Ulan district of East Kazakhstan region. After graduating the secondary school he worked in the kolkhoz named after Zhambyl, in charge of the village club (1959). In 1966 he graduated the Kazakh language and literature faculty of the Kazakh Sate University named after S.M. Kirov (now Kazakh National University named after Al-Farabi). He started his career in the wording of the East Kazakhstan regional newspaper «Flag of Communism» (now «Didar»). From 1991 to 1995 he was a chairman of the regional society «Kazakh language». Since 1995 he was a deputy secretary of the regional branch of the Union of Writers of Kazakhstan. In 1994 he created a school of young poets «Shabyt». For a long time he worked as the chief editor of the literary, cultural and social magazine «Ak Ertis». He is «Honorable journalist of Kazakhstan», Honorary Citizen of Ust-Kamenogorsk. In 1975 he published the first collection of poems «The breath of spring».
