Zhunusova Kuliman (1924-1999) – a writer

She was born on 20 October in Abai district of Semey oblast. She worked in financial institutions, the secretary of the district committee of Komsomol, head of the department of the district Party Committee, executive secretary of the regional newspaper.
In 1960 she graduated Higher Party School and was sent to work in the regional newspaper «Zhetysu».
Her creative activity was begun in 1960. Since then, her stories are published in the periodical press. Several of her stories have been included in the collection of young writers «Dawn» 1966 edition.
In subsequent years, a book of stories were published «Green Leaves» (1969), «Kamshat» (1971), «Crane Song» (1975), «The flower and the flame» (1978).
