Kyzykbaev Toktarbek (1940) – poet, translator

He was born in Zaysan of East Kazakhstan oblast. He graduated the journalism faculty of Kazakh State University named after Kirov. He worked in the offices of district and regional newspapers and in republican newspaper «Socialistic Kazakhstan».
He is the author of poetry collections «Wildflowers» (1966), «Altay motives» (1969), «At the helm» (1972), «Duty» (1975), «Bright World» (1977), «Land Smell» (1978).
He was laureate of the Union of Journalists of Kazakhstan. He was awarded the Order «Badge of Honor» and the Jubilee Medal «For valorous work».
