Tuganbaev Kashaf Aytzhanovich (1924-1993)

He was born in the Kaynar village of the Arbalin district. After graduating from Kaynar secondary school went to the front. He took part in the fighting, and in 1944 after being wounded returned home.
The poet began his career in the local newspaper. Then he began to work in the regional newspapers «Ekpendi», «Semey Tany».
His poems were published in national newspapers and magazines in different years. He is the author of poetry collections «Party card», «Brooks».
For a long time he was a director of the literary-memorial museum of Abai in Semey. The last years of work, the poet led the literary part of the Regional Music and Drama Theatre named after Abai.
For Military Merit he was awarded the medal «For Courage», «World War II».
