Zhotabaev Zhenis Rakhmetovich (1943) – Doctor of Physical and Mathematical Sciences, Professor.

He was born on October 22, 1943 in the East Kazakhstan region. Graduated from Tomsk Electromechanical Institute of Transport Engineers. He worked at the Institute of Nuclear Physics of the Academy of Sciences of Kazakhstan as an engineer, senior engineer, senior researcher, head of the laboratory. 1994-2000 – Deputy Director, Director of the Almaty branch of the Institute of Atomic Energy. Since 2000 he worked as the first Deputy Director General of the state enterprise "National Nuclear Center of the Republic of Kazakhstan" (Kurchatov).

Author of more than 85 scientific articles.

Awarded the Order of "Kurmet", laureate of the State Prize of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
