Karmenov Zhanibek (1949 - 1992) – writer, singer and musician
He was born on June 22, 1949 in the village of East Kazakhstan region. After graduating from school, Zhanibek entered the Kazakh State University, studied in a variety studio. The famous singer Zhusupbek Yelebekov became its head. Biography, personal life and creativity of Zhanibek Karmenov are associated with different types of art. He was engaged in literature, sang beautifully, wrote songs that became the pride of the Kazakh people. The singer founded the Department of folk singing at the Conservatory and at first was its head.
The famous performer was also engaged in the study of Kazakh folklore.
1984 - publication of art books dedicated to folk art and music, Lenin Komsomol Prize
1990 . - became an Honored Artist of Kazakhstan
in 1996. - the name of Zhanibek Karmenov was assigned to a music school in his native village.
