Moldazhanov Ilyas Ismailovich (1900-1938) – public figure, poet, journalist

He was born in the Karatogay of the Beskaragay district of East Kazakhstan oblast. He graduated Russian-Kazakh school. Since 1918, he was as part of a paramilitary Cavalry Alash Orda government he fought on the front Zhetysu. In 1920 he was military commissar 3rd Kazakh Cavalry Regiment Military. In 1921-1924 he was an editor of the newspaper «Kazakh language».
