Moldazhanov (Moldozhanov) Ilyas Ismailovich (1900 – 1938) – public figure, poet, journalist, member of the Alash movement.

He was born in 1900 in the village of Karatorgai, Beskarogai parish, Semipalatinsk region (now Bodeneli aul, Beskaragai district, East Kazakhstan region). In 1914 he graduated from the two-class Russian-Kazakh school. In 1914-1918, he was a clerk at a postal station in the village of Glukhovka, Semipalatinsk region (now East Kazakhstan region), a timekeeper at a wool wash in Semipalatinsk (now Semey), a clerk and captain of the cavalry regiment of Alash-Orda. From 1918-1921, secretary of the cavalry regiment and brigade, military commissar of the 3rd Kyrgyz Cavalry Regiment. In 1921-1924 he conducted party agitation and propaganda work in Orenburg and Semipalatinsk (now Semey). At the same time, he held the positions of deputy head of the propaganda department of the People's Commissariat of the People's Commissariat of the KSSR, head of the gubmilia, head of the administrative department of the gub executive committee, head of the Semipalatinsk gubzu (provincial land administration), chairman of the Pavlodar Executive committee (county executive committee), editor of the newspaper "Kazakh Tili".

In 1925-1926 he was the head of the Central Asian Department and a member of the Board of the NKVD of the Kazakh SSR. He was chairman of the executive committee at Pavlodar University (1925), in Kyzylzhar province (1926-1928), in Guryev (now Atyrau) and Kostanay District Executive Committee (1929-1932), in Almaty Regional Executive Committee (1932-1935).

In 1935-1937, the People's Commissar of Finance of the KASSR (Kazakh Autonomous Soviet Socialist Republic). Arrested on July 29, 1937 by the 4th department of the UGB of the NKVD in the Alma-Ata region.

Sentenced to death by firing squad by the Military Collegium of the Supreme Court of the USSR on March 13 , 1938 . Rehabilitated on July 30 , 1959 . By the Military Collegium of the Supreme Court of the USSR for the absence of corpus delicti.
