Kunanbaev Akylbay Ibrahimovich (18…-1904) – poet, public figure, eldest son of Abai.
He was born in the tract Chingistau (now Abai district of East Kazakhstan oblast). He studied in the Muslim madrassas. Akylbay played the dombra, violin. He independently studied Russian and European literature. He is an author of poems «Zulus», «Zharakh», «Dagestan». The basis of the poem «Zulu» Akylbay put the plot of the novel by the English writer Henry Haggart «King Solomon's Mines». The poem «Dagestan» about the confrontation between justice and deceit by the events taking place in the Caucasus. Akylbay with his father and brother was a member of the «Society of care of public education», as well as steward elected parish. Akylbay died in the prime of life, exactly 40 days after his father's death.

Kunanbayev Yesensary (1890-1961) – poet.
He was born in 1890 in the town of Tansyk, Ayaguz district, Semipalatinsk region (now East Kazakhstan region).
Having been brought up by Akyn Sadyr, Yesensary composed poetry at the age of three, an example of his work was oral folk literature and the work of Abai, Aripa and Asset. Accompanying Asset Naimanbayev for several years, he passed his school of poetry and music. Yesensary was popular among the akyns of Aitys.
In 1939, he participated in the republican gathering of poets, where Zhambyl was the giant of the word.
In 1945, he competed in aitys with the famous folk poet Sapargali Alimbetov.
In the vicinity of Tansyk, he recited "Kosheli zhyrau", "Zarkum", "Kabanbai Batyr", "Er Nauan" and other poems by heart, was a talented person, he alone was a traveling theater on the Kazakh stage – he always had listeners.
He not only retold folklore tales preserved in the memory of the people like zhyrau, but also created complex epics himself.
Yesensary is the author of numerous poems, tolgau and dastans. From the pen of the poet came such wonderful poems and epics as: "Akhmet-Kashim", "Gulbahram - Sabit", "Tobagul batyr", "Gabbasuly Sabyrzhan", "Malik batyr" (about the Hero of the Soviet Union M. Gabdullin), "Kazak kyzy", "Bodes Batyr" and the story "Jeke dara ana".
He died in 1961 .
His works are kept at the Institute of the Academy of Sciences.

Kunanbaev Magavyza (Magauiya) (1870-1904) – a poet
He was Abai's youngest son. He studied Russian and Oriental literature, folklore, graduated from the madrasah, then the Russian parish school in Semey. The first verses written in 16 years.
His poetic talent revealed in his poem about eternal lovers «Enlik-Kebek» (1890) and the poem «Abylai». In the poem «Medgat-Kasym» (1900) created the image of the leader of the slaves, intelligent and energetic fighter for truth and justice. He was elected by parish steward, was a member of the «Society of care of primary education».

Kunanbayev Kakitai Iskakuly (1868-1915) was the first publisher of Abai's legacy.Kunanbayev Kakitai Iskakuly is the first publisher of Abai's legacy.
He was born in 1868 in the Abai district of the East Kazakhstan region. Kakitai (Gabdulhakim) Kunanbayev is the son of Iskak, Abai's younger brother. From the age of eight, he studied literacy for four years with an aul mullah, studied Turkic and Arabic. Noticing Kakitai's exceptional abilities, in 1882 Abai took him in and together with Magauiya raised him as his son. I took him to Semipalatinsk (now Semey), taught him Russian. Russian Russian was not only fluent in 1-2 years, but also read the works of classics of Russian literature, the works of cultural figures of European countries, and became an educated man of his time. On the advice of Abai, together with Turagul, he was fond of writing words of edification, translations, short poems about spiritual experiences.
All the collected works of Abai, he transfers them to Mullah Murseit Bikeuly, who was engaged in teaching children in Zhidebai, to rewrite with his own money.
Together with Abai's son Turagul, he collected and systematized the legacy of the great poet, prepared for publication, was the initiator and leader of this process.
After Abai's death, a prominent Kazakh figure Alikhan Bukeikhanov wrote a biography of Abai in Russian for the first time and in 1905 published it in the Semipalatinsk Leaflet newspaper in Semipalatinsk (now Semey). He emphasizes that all the information concerning the poet's life was given to him by Kakitai.
On the advice of Alikhan, in 1905, Kakitai began preparing Abai's works for publication. In the same year, in the summer in Semipalatinsk (now Semey), then in Omsk, he fails to publish a book, he goes to Kazan. Here he enters into an agreement with a representative of the St. Petersburg printing house, pays for the publication and undertakes the adjustment of the future edition.
The printing house of Iliyas Boragansky sent printed sheets to Kakitai in Chingistau via mail, he corrected and sent them back. It took two years to publish a handwritten collection.
In 1909, the first collection of Abai entitled "Kazak akyny Ibrahim Kunanbayugylynyn oleni" bastyrgan Kakitai, Turagul Kunanbayuglandary" was published in St. Petersburg and all copies were sent to Semipalatinsk (now Semey). From here they were distributed throughout the Kazakh steppe. The work of Kakitai and Turagul, who published Abai's legacy for the first time, is priceless.
M. O. Auezov highly appreciated Kakitai's biographical article "Abai (Ibrahim) Kunanbayuglynyn omiri", included in this collection. M. O. Auezov remembers with excitement how much help Kakitai's article gave him when writing the biography of the great poet.
Preparing the manuscript for publication, Kakitai and Turagul systematized the poems by topic and content, divided into 17 parts.
The book includes 145 poems of the poet, the dastans "Anghime Masgut", "Eskendir anghimesi". At the end there is a biography and a photo of Abai. Although the biography is small in volume, it reveals all aspects of the poet's life.
Kakitai died in 1915 .
The collection of Abai was republished in 1922 in Kazan and Tashkent after the death of the publisher.
M. O. Auezov gave a decent assessment of the merits of Kakitai: "It is necessary to especially note the work of Kakitai Iskakuly, a pupil of Abai, a prominent Kazakh figure who contributed to the history of Kazakh culture, perpetuating the heritage of Abai.

Kurdakov Eugene Vasilevich (1940-2002) – poet, writer, member of the Writers' Union of Kazakhstan and Russia, member-correspondent of the Petrovsk Academy of Sciences and Arts
He was born in Orenburg in a family of military doctors; in 1956-1968 he lived in the Buzuluk, worked as a milling machine, organized Buzuluk association of young poets. He moved to Ust-Kamenogorsk in 1968, he received the title «Best miller East Kazakhstan».
In 1980, he led by literary studio at the Palace of Metallurgists, within the literary association «Link Altay».
His first book of poems is «The garden is my live» (1983). He is an author of several books of poetry and prose, Floristry study «Forest and Workshop» (1986). And the author of the root sculpture exhibition «Garden of roots» (over 100 items). He is a co-author and participant of many collective collections and anthologies (poetry, prose, literary criticism).
Winner of the literary prize magazines «Ogonyok», «Our Contemporary» (1988, 1994), «Young Guard», the winner of the All-Russian Pushkin Jubilee Award 1999, the award «The Captain's Daughter» (1998), winner of the All-Russian poetic competition devoted to the 200 anniversary of A.S. Pushkin.
